Decisions from the committee on February 30th of september 2024

At the committee meeting on February 21st, 2024, the following was agreed:

The variety CB Score was assessed for final approval. However, the variety only had two sets of results for malting and brewing. Therefore, it was decided that the variety would be preliminarily approved until the final set of results is available. Once the final set is in place, the variety will receive final approval.

The following recommendation is drafted:

CB Score is an average-yielding malting barley. Micro malting, industrial malting, and industrial brewing have shown good results. A very low level of beta-amylase was observed. CB Score has unique characteristics: no DMS (dimethyl sulfide) enables energy savings in both malting and brewing, Double Null-LOX characteristics enhance flavor stability, and being Proant-free allows beer filtration without the use of stabilizing agents.
